New Orleans police are investigating two attacks that happened on the same street in the same afternoon.

At about 1:30 Monday afternoon, police found three men shot near the corner of Tupelo Street and Saint Claude Avenue.  A 28-year-old man died at the hospital.

The two other victims were shot either in the hand or leg.  Their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

At about 4:00 the same afternoon, NOPD officers returned to Tupelo Street, this time in the 600 block, and found a man shot to death in an alleyway of an abandoned home.

As of Monday night, police did not release any information that the two cases could be connected.  If you have information on either attack, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
