Going out of business: the saga of a locally owned hardware store

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – You hate to see something you’re familiar with go away, but ‘mom and pop’ stores across the country are just struggling to stay in business. Here’s one of them: after 84 years, Oak Street Ace Hardware in the Riverbend is shutting its doors for good. As WGNO’s Carlton Rahmani shows us, its closure is more than a sign of the times.
