Healthy Easter tips

Dr. Rachel Reitan has a few tips for staying healthy over the Easter holiday:

Egg safety: hard boiled eggs should not stay out of fridge longer than 2 hours. Use jelly beans for your egg hunts.

Egg salad: use one yolk per 6 eggs to help with cholesterol. This will NOT affect the taste, and it will decrease cholesterol TREMENDOUSLY! Remember ONE yolk has 210 mg of cholesterol. That is your one day limit of cholesterol.

Lenten resolutions: Just because Lent is over, you do not have to give up your resolutions. It takes 60 days for things to be “routine” so if you stopped something unhealthy for Lent, keep it up! If you started doing something good for Lent, keep it up … and congratulations!
