Times set for local teams in State hoops finals

LHSAAC0untry Day will play Thursday, Riverside and the John Curtis girls Saturday in the state basketball championships in Monroe.

The 4th seeded Cajuns, 43-41 overtime winners over Christian Life Saturday, play 7th seeded Arcadia for the boys 1A state championship Thursday at 2 pm at ULM’s Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

Saturday, the third seeded Riverside Runnin’ Rebels play fourth seeded St Thomas Aquinas of Hammond for the boys 2a championship. The game tipsoff at 2 pm. Riverside ousted second seed University 64-62 in overtime Saturday in Hammond.

The Curtis girls, aiming for back to back state 2a titles, play St Thomas Aquinas at noon Saturday.
