Tangipahoa Parish deputies arrested Willie Nelson.

They aren’t talking about the country music star who’s had a few run-ins with the law.

Willie E. Nelson of Hammond was arrested after a traffic stop.

Deputies say active warrants for his arrests were found because he decided to get on the road again without a license.

The sheriff’s office says a surveillance camera also caught their highwayman stealing from a convenient store on Range Road.

He’s charged with theft, driving without a license and for being a fugitive from another jurisdiction.
