Area Leaders’ “Keep It Clean” Appeal
Wow the city looked good for the Super Bowl crowd. New, clean stuff everywhere. Clean, clean, clean!
Now leaders from around the New Orleans area are making an appeal to everyone who lives here. They say many of the most common comments they heard from Super Bowl visitors involved the overall clean appearance of the city.
“Let’s keep the city looking the way it is,” said Jefferson Parish President John Young during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
Young joined more than a dozen officials who worked on or with Super Bowl Host Committee. Many of them talked about all the improvements made from the airport to CBD — and the hundreds of millions of dollars invested.
“It’s up to all of us to make sure that stays the course,” New Orleans Deputy Mayor Andy Kopplin said.
