Post Super Bowl Traffic Restrictions
Scheduled gameday street closures throughout the Central Business District and the French Quarter area will remain in effect until 7 am Monday morning. However, river-bound lanes of Poydras Street from LaSalle to South Claiborne will remain closed. The Poydras exit 234B from I-10 east, Dave Dixon Drive, Magnolia Avenue, West Stadium Drive, Howard Avenue and Sugar Bowl Drive will be closed during this time as well.
Decatur Street will be closed from Wilkinson Row to Madison Avenue from 12 am to 4 am on Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5 to allow removal of equipment and temporary structures used during Super Bowl coverage. Nearly 20 CBS television shows were broadcast in Jackson Square and Washington Artillery Park over the past week.
The Ground Transportation Bureau has worked with horse carriage operators to relocate carriages from the front of Jackson Square to other staging areas from Monday, February 4 through Wednesday, February 6.

Officials at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport anticipate a large number of passengers flying out on Monday after the game. To accommodate the influx of travelers and expedite the flow of traffic, the New Orleans International Airport is recommending a five step process:
5. Checkout of your hotel five hours prior to departure.
4. Turn in your rental car four hours before departure.
3. Arrive at ticket counter three hours before departure.
2. Visit security checkpoint two hours prior to departure.
1. Arrive at terminal gate one hour prior to departure.
The airport in conjunction with the TSA has nearly doubled the number of passenger screening lanes to meet the outbound demand for Monday, February 4, and added additional baggage screening equipment. On Sunday, February 3, TSA checkpoints will open at the normal time and not close until Monday, February 4, after the last flight departs. Also, concessions will remain open with certain locations remaining open all night to meet traveler’s needs.
