In the championship game against Sheldon, California, Julien scored 22 points and handed out 5 assists. He was named the boys tournament most valuable player.

Riverside rallied from a 17-3 deficit to defeat Sheldon 72-65.

“We never had a team win the Sugar Bowl tournament even with the great teams that we have had,” explains head coach Tim Byrd. “We had a team that wasn’t supposed to be here, and now they step up and win unexpectedly. This team now believes it can win.”
