Thursday afternoon, St Tammany firefighters with Fire Protection District No. 11 rushed to a single car accident along I-59 just a few miles from the Mississippi/Louisiana State Line.

They found a pick up truck nearly submerged in flood waters along the side of the interstate.

Firefighters say the man who was behind the wheel was able to escape through the window of his truck and appeared to be uninjured.
