Neighbors in Metairie now have a stop sign at the corner of Poplar Street and Ocean Drive.
They complained to WGNO News last summer about cars speeding in the area. On at least two occasions, cars crashed into neighbors’ houses.
Initially, the parish told WGNO News that its traffic study showed no need to install stop signs at the intersection.
But neighbors let WGNO News know first thing Tuesday morning that the 4-way stop signs were now in place.

Thank you. It's such a relief because it should have always been a four way stop.
