Whole Foods Helps Guests Lose Weight For Free
Whole Foods is known for Fresh produce, but the store is also known to make a dent in your wallet. Not this time. Healthy Eating Specialist Caitlin Parys says the store is helping others kick off 2013 the healthy with a course designed to teach you how to eat for a slimmer waistline. Plus all the advice, recipes, and guidance are free!
“It’s every Monday night. We’re meeting and having a 28-day challenge so it will help you kick start your New Year’s resolution and get you on track for healthy eating,” says Parys.
Every Monday in January those in The 28-Day Health Starts Here Challenge meet at Whole Foods for an hour. Meetings start at 6:30pm Uptown or 6pm at the Metairie store.
“The recipes in the 28-day challenge are easy to approach, simple ingredients. So what the classes will be on Monday nights is kind of teaching you the basics so you can have success when you’re eating healthy on your own. We’re going to be focusing on a plant based diet. It’ll be nutrient dense. We’re going to have a full plate full of vegetables, and plants and we’re picking healthy fats, so we’re avoiding refined oils,” says Parys.
Parys calls the challenge a lifestyle change that can transform your eating habits, but she promises it still allows you to enjoy good food.
Learn more about the challenge at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5th. Both the Metairie and Uptown stores will feature recipes and samples that focus on nutrient-dense, whole food, healthy fats, and plant-strong plates.
