Veterinarians confirm this is a coyote that was found dead in the Mandeville area.
The animal may be responsible for the recent killing of a cat in the Beau Chene subdivision. The dead coyote was found on the Hwy 190 access road, near Beau Chene, by Louisiana State Police Troop L headquarters. It appears the animal was hit by a passing car.
The state Department of Transportation and Development is aware of the animal and plans to remove the carcass.
