Should kids be allowed access to medical marijuana?

CaptureCancer patients using medicinal marijuana is nothing new, but what if the cancer patient is only 7 years old?

Mykayla Comstock was diagnosed with leukemia back in July and now her mother gives her lime-flavored capsules filled with cannabis oil.

Mykayla and her mom live in Oregon where it’s legal for a minor to enroll in a medical marijuana program as long as the child’s parent consents.

Simple answer- no. It's not leagal to smoke a cigarette or anything at that age, so it should not be allowed. That is to allow for a mental break from what's going on in their minds. It is a method allowing the people to cope. Children have a really big imagination. Toys are something that light up kids lives. Why not try with a toy first before introducing them to pot. I highly disagree with a seven year old smoking weed.

I say yes because its a medical treatment issued by a Doctor. I don't believe the age has anything to do with a treatment that may improve the quality of life.

I don't believe children should be given a drug like marijuana. It's medical effects on adults aside, there is not anywhere near enough research on the safety and effectiveness of the drug in children whose brains and bodies are still developing. No, no no!

well these children are going threw alot of pain. They are giving alot of strong meds.If this could help them and it is control, why not .pain is pain .these children go through enough by the side effects of the chemo and radiation.I believe they could get it in a pill form.So would you rather see your child sick and throwing upfrom the other meds or something that may take away some of these sideaffects.yes they are young but that does not stop this from attacking them. so I am with the mom that says yes.think what would you do if this was your child?
