Jefferson, 3 Other LSU players Will Be Questioned by Police
Sgt. Don Stone told WBRZ in Baton Rouge the players are being asked to report to Baton Rouge Police Department Monday at 9 a.m. to get their side of the story about a fight that happened at Shady’s Bar early Friday morning. Four people went to the hospital with minor injuries, none of them football players.
Stone says BRPD is not ruling out future arrests. Saturday afternoon, Head Coach Les Miles expressed his disappointment with players about the incident. A large group of players broke curfew and team rules. Miles said all players were accounted for at 10:30pm during a curfew check, and that the school is cooperating with the investigation.
The news comes just two weeks prior to fourth-ranked LSU’s season opening game against third-ranked Oregon at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on September 3rd.
