Man Accused Of Beheading His Son Found Incompetent To Stand Trial
Tuesday, a judge in Lafourche Parish ruled Jeremiah Wright, the man accused of beheading his seven-year-old son, was incompetent to stand trial.
Wright will remain in the care of the state. The judge will ask for monthly reports to decide if — and when — he is able to understand the charges against him and assist in his defense.
Wright is accused of beheading his son Jori Lirette in August 2011. Lirette suffered from cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair.
