City Calls For Help In Finding Who Killed Toddler
At New Orleans City Hall Monday, politicians, cops and clergy called for cowardly gunmen and neighbors in-the-know to step up and come forward with information on who killed a two-year-old in Central City.
Jeremy Galmon, was the toddler hit with a stray bullet Sunday as he sat in a car with his family. According to police, unidentified men engaged in a gunfight at 1st Street and Dryades in Central City. The man chased and shot at one car, but the flying bullets entered another: the vehicle where little Jeremy sat. Those involved in the shoot-out took off and couldn’t be caught in another tale from the streets of the nation’s murder capital.
If you have information on the murder, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111. The reward for help in finding Jeremy’s killer has been bumped from $2,500 to $5,000.
Jeremy’s family needs help paying for a funeral, and the city has set up a fund at Liberty Bank and Trust. Donations can be made at New Orleans and Baton Rouge branches or over the phone at 240-5288.
